A percentage defines a specific volume that represents variation of any difference for example you probably listen that 90 percent votes pooled in election that's mean if we suppose total population of  London is 100 then 90 people cast their votes and remaining 10 people could not cast their vote due to any reason  or opposite side you can consider that 10 percent votes could not be cast in election because of unspecified reason so as final word we can say percent differentiate a specific calculated volume out of overall number.

how to find a percentage of a number ?

To find the percentage of a specific number there is simple math formula as below

Difference of Number / Total Number x 100 = Percent

So percent for 33 out of 100 will be as below

33/100x100 = 33%

OR

3954 total votes and 3322 castes  then over all percent of voters is

3322 / 3954 x 100 = 84.2 % approx
